I ended up with like 70k when I finally reached the last jungle animal and immediately leveled it up to max. You only play to get your money and do the missions. You simply need to complete too many missions to move on which results in a mass of money. The ads broke the neck of this beautiful little game. In other news, Rodeo Stampede is a bummer, as I thought.

Also: Politaire is a very eas and short times take on poker and solitaire (I do not know what part is solitaire though lol) and certainly one of the better pine apple games. Combo Critters fits exactly in the Pokémon GO crazyniss since it is some kind of Pokémon-like, although much simpler which actually fits perfectly for a mobile game. I am thinking about returning Rush Ralley again, though I absolutely love the quality so few people can reach. That is the same for every racing game which uses the lower triggers. If you press it normally your car does not go over like 30mph.

Unfortunately the lower triggers are absolute rubbish and you have to press them so much that your thumbs hurt to reach full speed. Rush Ralley 2 uses the lower right "trigger" to accelerate and the upper "bumper" to break. I bought the Stratus but with this it is nearly impossible to play racing games.

Tried this out a little bit today and I'm pretty underwhelmed (played on my Android phone, but I doubt it's different on iOS). I'm hoping the Kingdom Rush developers next game is really good since it'll be more RTS style than Tower Defense. Zombies, and more RTS style games like Eufloria. Love good Tower Defense games like Kingdom Rush and Plants vs. The reviews I just read seem to indicate that the game gets unfairly hard after the tutorials levels, so I doubt I'd have wanted to spend money on the game even if it was more reasonably priced.Ī shame, because I'm always looking for good RTS style games for mobile. There is a single IAP from what I can tell to remove ads and add extra content and features, but it was $5.50 which seems pretty high and it also seems to lock important stuff behind there like ranged units (but that might be for multiplayer or something). I only played a few levels of the game, but the levels are pretty bite sized, so having to watch so many commercials was pretty annoying even after the few I played through.

It's a cute idea, but it's hard to get all three of the objectives done on the first playthrough (the 3rd or 4th level had some requirements I couldn't figure out how to do even after replaying 3 or 4 times). And to make it worse, they play every time you restart a level an ad plays, and every time you finish a level an ad plays UNLESS you do all 3 optional objective in which case an ad wont play after finishing. Every ad seems to be a 30 second video WITH sound that you have to manually exit out of after it plays. The core game is fun, but the ads kinda kill it. When you got a PC-focused site like RockPaperShotgun praising Hoplite or Dream Quest or 80 Days and Sorcery, you know those games are specialĪnd ports of course, because I enjoy favorite games on the goĬlick to expand.Tried this out a little bit today and I'm pretty underwhelmed (played on my Android phone, but I doubt it's different on iOS). That's why they tend to get coverage on the bigger sites.

They may be better on touch, since the touch controls add another aspect to the gameplay, but they're just as good or inventive as indies I'd enjoy on PC. Dark Echo, Device 6, Inkle's work, Monument Valley, and others. On mobile, I want stuff this is best suited to enjoy on mobile, that is good perhaps because it's on touchīut there are also games that I feel are great regardless of platform.

HEXCELLS ROCK PAPER SHOTGUN PC

Actually I kind of prefer those, because I can play the best of a genre on PC and consoles. A game that may seem shallow or whatnot on console/PC but shines on mobile because it plays to the strengths on the platform is still good and worthwhile in my book.īasically "good for the platform" isn't a bad thing IMO. A game that embraces touch, with tactile gameplay, or mechanics that feel nicely suited for the tablet, etc. Although that distinction isn't always a bad thing.
